Privacy and Cookies Policy
1. Personal Data
"Case party" means an individual who enquires about, or is the subject of, an independent medical assessment coordinated by us (including patients, claimants, and other case participants). "Personal data" means data about an identifiable case party, whether alone or combined with other information we hold. Depending on your interaction with us, personal data we collect may include your name, contact details, identification details, date of birth, medical records and related case documentation, employment information, and payment details.
Your privacy matters to us. This Policy sets out how Experts for Justice ("Experts for Justice", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal data, in line with applicable personal data protection law in the jurisdictions in which we operate. This Policy applies to personal data in our possession or control, including data held by organisations we engage to process it on our behalf.
2. Collection, Use, and Disclosure
We generally only collect personal data that is provided voluntarily by you, or by a third party you have authorised, after you have been told why the data is being collected and have given consent — except where collection or use without consent is permitted or required by law. We may collect and use personal data to perform conflict screening, manage secure case intake, verify identity, process payments, and comply with legal requirements.
3. De-identification
Where practicable, case files are de-identified or pseudonymised before being shared with an independent expert, to limit exposure of personal identifiers to what the assessment requires.
4. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Our regional framework aligns cross-border transfers in compliance with jurisdiction-specific legal requirements covering Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
5. Third-Party Websites
This Site may link to the websites of partners, experts, or other third parties. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content or privacy practices of those sites.
6. Withdrawing Consent
Consent you give for the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data remains valid until withdrawn in writing. You may withdraw consent by writing to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details below.
7. Access and Correction
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you by writing to our Data Protection Officer. A reasonable fee may apply to access requests.
8. Protection of Personal Data
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including encryption, access controls, and need-to-know disclosure — designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, appropriate to the sensitivity of medical case information.
9. Accuracy and Retention
We rely on the personal data provided to us and ask that you let us know of any changes so our records stay accurate. We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law.
10. Cookies
This Site may use cookies to enhance your experience and for record-keeping purposes. You may set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when they are sent.
11. Children's Privacy
This Site and our services are not directed at, or intended for use by, children.
